Website Update Incoming!!

So recently i’ve been struggling to find a job. I’m not special in that regard of course being that it’s 2026 as i am writing this and layoffs and hiring freezes are rampant right now in the US. But recently i applied for a job that actually requires some of my old skills and some of my new skills. IT skills, not my programming chops unfortunately.

So in applying for this job, i realized that i don’t have any of my old work on my website and it would be great to have that content here. So in the coming days i will start working on adding all that information to my website. I’ll be honest. I’ll probably just reference this old work on the home page initially and then slowly find ways to give it a more permanent home on my website.

So what is my previous work??? It’s videography, photography, motion graphics editing, and graphic design. I used to make commercial video, photo, and graphic design for customers under my company Odd-Stop Media, LLC. Of course if you go to the business website now it’s no longer a content-driven marketing business. It’s a web design and development agency these days.

In my quest to become a software engineer, i stopped doing photography and video production. But i know with a bit of time i can get back into it. This doesn’t mean i’ll stop reaching for my dream of being a software developer, just that i’ll do what puts food on the table and keep working on my dream in the afternoon and weekends. It’s a bit sad, but such is the state of the world. You must do what provides stability while you slowly but surely work on that which gets you up in the morning.
